Now is the Time to Renew Exchange Producer Licenses

Exchange Producer Licensure

2019 Federal Training for Exchange Producers is now available for license renewal. We are now within the 50-day window (50 days preceding expiration of your 2018 Exchange Producer license) during which the Arkansas Insurance Department will accept 2019 applications for license renewal. So, now is the time to apply for renewal of your Exchange Producer license for 2019 and to pay your $35 renewal fee.

Only Federal Training (now available) and application/renewal fee are required. There are no requirements for State Training and background checks for license renewals. Exchange Producer licensure is now all online and easier to complete.

Simply visit the Arkansas Health Insurance Marketplace website by clicking here. Then, simply scroll down the page to the section addressing Renewal Assister Licensure and follow the steps-by-step instructions. Links to Federal Training and the application for license renewal are included.

Arkansas Works – Becoming a Registered Reporter

Please remember that in order for an Exchange Producer to help an Arkansas Works enrollee meet online reporting requirements, the agent/broker must become a Registered Reporter. To meet this new requirement an agent/broker must complete an online training process at the Arkansas Works Information Page which can be accessed by clicking here. There you will complete the ‘Reporting Walkthrough’ and ‘Linking Walkthrough’ training modules linked on the left-hand side of the page. After taking the two training modules, you must sign an acknowledgement form attesting to completion of the training. You will also be asked to have each enrollee assisted complete an ‘Authorization Form.’ These forms can be accessed by clicking on the designated links to the forms on the left-hand side of the Information Page.

Consumer Assistance Referrals

AHIM remains committed to providing you with support in the Marketplace sales process. We understand that prospect referrals are key to that process. So, in addition to the Find Help referral feature on the AHIM website, I’d like to remind you about another complimentary referral service, called Help On Demand. This provides you an additional path for client referrals. However, you have to register to receive these referrals. Information about the updated version of Help On Demand registration can be accessed by clicking here. We are committed to helping ensure your success through access to qualified leads, both through our own referral platform and through access to Help On Demand.

Countdown to Open Enrollment

Just an additional reminder that Open Enrollment is not that far off. We have a countdown of important steps for you to take between now and November. Check it out by clicking here.
